Behaviour

We believe that children and adults flourish best in an ordered environment in which everyone knows what is expected of them. Children are free to develop their play and learning without fear of being hurt or hindered by anyone else. We aim to work towards a situation in which children can develop self-discipline and self-esteem in an atmosphere of mutual respect and encouragement.

Child Protection Act

The welfare of each child is paramount. It is also a requirement if the Pre-school registration that any concerns shown regarding welfare of children are shared with the Social Services Department.

If you have any worries or concerns please discuss these with the Pre-school leader, a member of staff or the Chair of the management committee who can be contacted via the Parish Office. Should you wish to take the complaint further, details of whom to contact are displayed on our notice board.

Equal Opportunities

At St Mary’s Pre-school we acknowledge the different cultures, religions and races in our society. All adults and children will be treated equally.
